This historical marker stands on the site prepared by the Oregon
National Guard to display a B-25 bomber to commemorate the Doolittle Raiders,
who served in the 17th Bombardment Group (Medium) at Pendleton
Army Air Base in 1941-42.

previously at Pendleton flies off aircraft carrier Hornet, headed for Japan on
the secret mission that lifted America's spirit.
